About Me
Darkavia Jacobs is a Los Angeles based model and actress originally from Chicago, Illinois. My passion for performing began at a young age growing up in a large family immersed in the modeling industry.
Traveling for shoots and spending time on set introduced me early to the creative energy behind fashion and storytelling, sparking a love for performance that has continued to grow.
Determined to carve my own path, I began my formal training at Barbizon where I studied runway, posing, and on-camera presence. It was there that I realized performing was more than an interest it was something I wanted to pursue seriously. As the youngest in my family I learned early how to stand out while staying disciplined, adaptable, and professional in fast-paced environments.
Throughout middle and high school, I immersed myself in theater, performing in productions such as Annie, The Addams Family, and Romeo & Juliet. These experiences deepened my connection to storytelling and live performance. Beyond the stage, I studied film and television by analyzing performances, breaking down scenes, and learning the craft from every angle.
Since relocating to Los Angeles, I've continued to train extensively, including scene study, on-camera technique, improv, and working on set. I've gained valuable experience as a background actor on major productions such as 9-1-1: Lone Star, Grey's Anatomy, Never Have I Ever, Grown-ish, and more.
These opportunities have allowed me to work alongside incredible talent while gaining firsthand insight into the professionalism and collaboration required on high-level sets.
In addition to acting, I've worked closely with photographers, stylists, and creative directors across Los Angeles on projects ranging from editorial shoots to digital campaigns. I bring professionalism, adaptability, and my own creative energy to every collaboration.
Beyond my career I'm deeply committed to maintaining both physical and mental well-being. I have a strong passion for fitness, nutrition, and creating balanced, healthy meals that support my long days. For me this career is more than a dream it's a mission. I continue to invest in my growth, training, and experience with the goal of leading roles and meaningful storytelling. With every project I strive not only to grow as a performer, but as an artist ready to create, inspire, and leave a lasting impact.
